Decreased Power to the Wheels

If your engine is revving or surging and the engine idles high but the power is not getting to the wheels, then the gears are slipping in your transmission.

Jumping Out of Gear

Sometimes, the transmission will intermittently jump out of gear while the car is moving or you will experience harsh shifting or wrong gear starts.  When this occurs, it can indicate that the linkage holding the gears is worn or broken.

These conditions are your vehicle’s way of letting you know that your transmission needs attention – sooner rather than later.
