Three Tiers of Vehicle Diagnostics
When you suspect transmission-related problems, and you bring your car, truck, van or SUV to Broadway Transmission & More, here in York county, PA for transmission repair and service, we first do  thorough diagnostics to determine as closely as possible the nature and extent of the problems with your vehicle.  This involves three tiers of diagnostics as follows:

 
Tier 1: Verifying the Complaint

During the first diagnostic tier, we go over the details of your complaint, and try to verify them under actual operation. This may include a basic visual examination, checking the fluid level and condition, and a thorough road test, if possible.

 
Tier 2: Isolating the Source

The second diagnostic tier is to determine whether the problem is inside the transmission or in one of the external systems that affect its operation.  This usually requires about 30-60 minutes of our technician's time.  .

Tier 3: Pinpoint Diagnosis

In most cases, third tier diagnotics only take place if the second-tier diagnosis suggests that the condition is being caused by the computer system or one of the external systems affecting transmission operation. Third tier diagnostics usually take between 45 minutes and two hours, but can take longer, depending on the problem.

COST FOR VEHICLE DIAGNOSTICS
You won't be charged for a first and/or second tier diagnosis if (a) the problem is rfound to be elated to your transmission, and (b) you agree to have us perform the repairs.  Third-tier diagnostics and any other conditions almost always involve billable service.

The term, "Free Services" pertains to those value-added services such as Free Towing, Free Road Testing, etc. that are provided during a job that is done by Broadway Transmission & More and for which the customer is expected to pay in full. If a service normally noted to be "Free" is performed but ultimately the customer elects to not have the work done, the prevailing charge will be assessed for otherwise "Free Services".
