COMMITMENT TO QUALITY SINCE 1951
Longevity in the Automotive Repair Industry is a rarity. At Broadway Transmission we understand that one of the things that set us apart and has kept our doors open so long is our insatiable appetite to stay informed of all the best practices in repairing your vehicle's transmission. We are a proud member of the Automatic Transmission Rebuilders Association (ATRA) which is the world's largest trade association dedicated solely to the rebuilding of all transmission types.
Our technicians put in countless hours each year dedicated to training in the newest updates, proven procedures and the best parts available to get your vehicle back on the road correctly and for a very long time. Our commitment to quality doesn't stop there. We have invested in two Hot Flush machines that reduce the amount of old contamination so well that it has allowed us to offer the longest locally offered transmission warranty by a transmission shop in York County. Our current warranty that comes with our rebuilt transmissions is 3 years or 100,000 miles whichever comes first. HOT FLUSH
We have invested in major information systems that give us access to all repair information from the automakers themselves with subscriptions to Alldata, Mitchell, Identifix, TRNW, IATN as well as monthly trade association publications. Our specialty part suppliers offer many updated and better-engineered items than what was the original manufacturer design.
Lastly, our commitment to quality is how we stay update on our equipment and tools. We are one of the few repair facilities that has the proper equipment to diagnose your modern vehicle. After the repair, many newer vehicles need the computers updated and or programmed. Broadway Transmission has invested in a J2534 device that allows us to do all the programming the dealer can do at the convenience and cost savings of having it done here. Just another reason our commitment to quality and you will never change!
BUILDING COMMUNITY SINCE 1951
Broadway Transmission is a locally owned and operated facility under past and present ownership since 1951. Brian Winograd has been the owner since 1996 and believes in community. He has been an elder in several churches in Southern York County as well as instrumental in helping plant several churches. Brian is a past board member of the York Rescue Mission and past board chairman of Bridge of Hope York County. He serves as an advisory board member for the automotive mechanical repair division of York School of Technology as well as being involved in the HACC advanced skills center for automotive technology.
Brian believes in a business philosophy that each business needs to become a hero in their backyard. Volunteering is a model this country needs to get back too. Helping others in need has always been how Broadway unselfishly behind the scenes helps in the community. Helping veterans, widows/widowers, and youth is the area of volunteer work we encourage our associates to participate in. We need to give back to the community that supports our family business and to also shop local wherever possible. I love going to Jerry's Food Rite and Lions Pride Restaurant and being stopped by so many customers happy to see me and talk with me like I'm one of their family. I am happy to be one of the first business supporters of The York Revolution Baseball club and to support local high school sports on WOYK radio. Building a strong community is very important to us at Broadway Transmission and as Brian brings his sons Jacob and Isaac into the running of the shop he will make sure this tradition continues!
EARNING TRUST SINCE 1951
Did you know that most transmissions are repaired without major rebuilding or replacement? In fact since 1951 we have with proper diagnoses and honesty only done the work that was needed and not oversold into higher priced work. Those are the tactics of the new car dealers and chains. Trust is probably the biggest issue consumers worry about in any automobile repair. My father used to tell me that trust is earned it's not given. That is exactly what we do!
Let's face it. Most transactions at our shop will be the first time for most of our customers. After all, it's not likely that a person needs a transmission several times a year let alone several times in a lifetime. We understand this. We acknowledge the anxiety when your vehicle is not working like it should and you suspect a transmission issue. Many of our new customers have heard of us from their friends, neighbors, co-workers and even their local garage.
Rest assured that longevity at the same location should speak loudly that York County has trusted us so much that we are approaching our 66th anniversary. In a small community as ours that means something! In the time since Brian Winograd took over in 1996 just 21 short years ago, York County has seen 12 transmission shops close its doors forever. Those shops customers suffered with warranty repairs that were no longer valid when the shops went out of business. Meanwhile year after year we continue to improve our warranty and are still around to honor it if something is ever wrong. Trust!
We earn trust by being a AAA transmission specialty repair facility in good standing as well as a longtime member of ATRA. Brian was president of AASP-PA York and Adams counties for 5 plus years being voted in by his peers in the automotive repair industry. He has been called on by Chanel 8 news for interviews for different auto repair scams to avoid as well as being called as an expert witness for transmission repair at the York County Courthouse.
Broadway Transmission is ruled by a code of ethics by many of its affiliations like AAA and ATRA as well as the family's strong Christian faith. With our commitment to quality and our goal of building community we will earn your trust. Our promise to you our customer is you will remember the quality of your repair well after you have forgotten the cost of it.
